40 DAYS OF PRAYER-GUIDE

DAY 1: Wednesday, 3/9 -AWAKEN Read the INTRODUCTION of REVIVAL STARTS HERE (pp.6-12) & join us for prayer/worship tonight at 6pm as we ask God to awaken His Church. (Eph. 5:13-15) -Fast breakfast & lunch

DAY 2: Thursday, 3/10 -ARISE Cry out for the Church to rise up to take its place in this hour. (Prov. 24:15)

DAY 3: Friday, 3/11- ADORE pray for God to receive maximum glory from every tribe, language, people & nation. (Ps. 95:6-9)

DAY 4: Saturday, 3/12- ABIDE & BEAR FRUIT Pray all believers continually abide in Him so that we will be able to love our neighbor & share the gospel with those who haven’t heard it yet. (John 15:4-8, 2 Peter 3:9, Matt. 24:14)

DAY 5: Sunday, 3/13 - EMPOWERED BY THE SPIRIT Come to Cypress & worship Jesus as a church family at 9 or 11. Ask God to empower His people with faith-filled expectation.  (Luke 24:49, Mark 11:22-24)

DAY 6: Monday, 3/14- URGENCY pray for a sense of holy desperation to pray, share, & make any sacrifices necessary to His Kingdom coming & His will being done throughout the earth. (Mark 5:19, Col. 4:2-6)

DAY 7: Tuesday, 3/15- SPIRITUAL WARFARE pray God would tear down all strongholds that hold people captive & blinded to the truth, & these strongholds be replaced with Kingdom promises. (Eph. 6:10-12 & 18, 2 Cor. 10:3-5)

DAY 8: Wednesday, 3/16-RESEARCH Read PART 1 in REVIVAL STARTS HERE (pp. 13-24)  &  join us for our prayer gathering tonight as we pray that our eyes stay fixed solely on Jesus &  His plan for our lives. (Heb. 12:1-2, Prov. 3:20-27) -Fast breakfast & lunch 

DAY 9: Thursday, 3/17- STRATEGIC PLANNING pray for communication & collaboration of believers & organizations to be unhindered by the enemy’s schemes or our own selfishness, insensitivities, or ignorance. (John 17, Is. 24:14)

DAY 10: Friday, 3/18- WHOLEHEARTED DEVOTION Ask God for wholehearted devotion to Him and to one another, joining hands in unity in the task to which He has called us. (Josh. 22:5, Eph. 6:15, Prov. 15:22)

DAY 11: Saturday, 3/19- PREPARED HEARTS Pray for the Holy Spirit to prepare many hearts to hear, understand and respond to the message of salvation in faith. (Ez. 36:26, Prov. 12:40, Eph. 2:8-9)

DAY 12: Sunday, 3/20- PEOPLE OF PEACE Come to Cypress & worship Jesus as a church family at 9 or 11. Ask God to raise up those in unreached people groups & places who gather family & friends to learn God’s truths together through His word & begin to obey. (Luke 10:5-7, Acts 26:18)

DAY 13: Monday, 3/21- REPENTANT HEARTS seek God for our own hearts to be continually in a posture of repentance & for those we seek to reach to have their hearts as well-prepared soil to receive the seeds of the gospel. (Joel 2:13, Prov. 10:8)

DAY 14: Tuesday, 3/22- FAITH pray for expectant faith for messengers & for the gift of believing faith for those who hear their message to result in much fruit that remains. (Heb. 11:6, Eph. 2:8-9, Matt. 9:29)

DAY 15: Wednesday, 3/23- ABUNDANT GOSPEL SOWING Read PART 2 in REVIVAL STARTS HERE (pp.25-33) & join us at Cypress for our prayer gathering at 6pm as we pray for all disciples to boldly take every opportunity to share God’s truth. (Matt. 13:23, Ps. 9:1) -Fast breakfast & lunch

DAY 16: Thursday, 3/24- SIGNS & WONDERS Ask God to reveal Himself through dreams, vision, healing. Pray that these signs & wonders will lead to faith in Christ. (Ps. 103: 2-5, Acts 4:29-30, Mark 16:20)

DAY 17: Friday, 3/25- OVERFLOWING LOVE Seek the Spirit to pour through our hearts the compelling love of God which blesses us & motivates us into the life of service & sacrifice to which He calls us. (2 Cor. 5:14-15, Eph. 3:16-19, Rom. 5:5)

DAY 18: Saturday, 3/26- HOUSEHOLDS OF DISCIPLE MAKERS pray that households & wider communities find the

blessing of God as they study God’s word &  commit to follow Jesus together. (Gen. 12:1-3, Acts 16:31-33)

DAY 19: Sunday, 3/27- CHURCHES MULTIPLYING CHURCHES Join us for worship at Cypress church at either 9 or 11. Let us ask the Lord for churches to grow deeply & multiply rapidly. (Acts 16:5, Acts 2:41, 47, Titus 1:5)

DAY 20: Monday, 3/28- ENDURING SUFFERING & PERSECUTION Ask that persecution & suffering would produce boldness, faith and reproducing disciples. (1 Peter 3:14-15, Rom. 5:3-5, Ps. 61:2)

DAY 21: Tuesday, 3/29- CHILDREN AND YOUTH Pray that children & youth are facilitated to play an integral part in prayer & mission movements, young & old together. (Luke 18:16, Joel 2:28-32)

DAY 22: Wednesday, 3/30- ONE NEW MAN Read PART 3 in REVIVAL STARTS HERE pp. 35-43 & join us for prayer at Cypress from 6-7. Let’s agree with God’s Word that His body would be fully integrated, that we would be one as He & the Father are one. (Eph. 2:14-16, 3:8, Rom. 11:11-31). -Fast breakfast & lunch

DAY 23: Thursday, 3/31- LIFT UP OUR EYES Pray the Spirit causes our hearts to see as He sees. (John 4:35, 2 Kings 6:15-17, 2 Cor. 4:18)

DAY 24: Friday, 4/1- UNITY IN THE BODY Seek God that each would discern unity in the body, appreciating our diversity of gifts together, under our Head, Jesus. (Eph. 4:14-16, John 4:36-38)

DAY 25: Saturday, 4/2- ABUNDANT GENEROSITY Ask God to supply & multiply seed for sowing & bread for eating as we are generously sharing the bounty He provides. (2 Cor. 9:6-11, Prov. 11:25)

DAY 26: Sunday, 4/3- LEADERSHIP REPRODUCTION Join us for worship at Cypress church at either 9 or 11. Pray for churches in every sphere to see servant-hearted leadership raised up, recognized & released adequate to the need. (Acts 13:2-4, 2 Tim. 2:2)

DAY 27: Monday, 4/4- STUBBORN PERSISTENCE Believe God for stubborn persistence in pursuing His assignments regardless of the cost, knowing His promises are certain. (Rom. 5:3-5, Heb. 6:10-13)

DAY 28: Tuesday, 4/5- FRUIT & GIFTS Ask God for every believer to walk equally in the fruit of the Spirit as well as full of their gifts of the Spirit- both godly character & godly giftedness to meet every need of the Body. (Gal. 5:22-23, 1 Cor. 12:8-10)

DAY 29: Wednesday, 4/6- WORSHIP WITH DAVID BRICKNER Join us tonight as we gather for worship, teaching & prayer with guest speaker David Brickner from Jews for Jesus at 6pm, who will be teaching on “Christ and the Passover.”(Colossians 4:6, 1 Peter 3:8-12, 2 Kings 6:18, Gen. 19:4-11). -Fast breakfast & lunch

DAY 30: Thursday, 4/7- FORGIVING Request that the Spirit enables every believer to forgive as we have been forgiven & to overcome evil with good. (Luke 6:37, Matt. 6:14-15)

DAY 31: Friday, 4/8- BLESSED TO BLESS Pray for God to bring forth His restoration, strengthening & healing of individuals, families, & communities in every people and place. (Gen. 12:1-3 & 28:14, Acts 3:25, Acts 10:43)

DAY 32: Saturday, 4/9- INFECTIOUS JOY Ask for a greater revelation of the joy of our salvation & that for the joy set

before us, we not only endure, but flourish in Him. (Ps. 13:5-6, Ps. 37:4, Jude 24-25, Neh. 8:10)

DAY 33: PALM SUNDAY, 4/10- PATIENT WAITING Join us for worship at Cypress church at either 9 or 11. Request God to enlarge our ability to wait attentively with anticipation for His promises to be fulfilled & the harvest to be brought in. (Is. 30:18 & 40:31, James 5:7-8, Heb. 6:10-11)

DAY 34: Monday, 4/11- INTERDEPENDENCE Pray that believers continually practice the “one another's” of Scripture in dependence upon & in relationship with God Himself. (2 Cor. 1:4, 2 Cor. 8:13-15, Phil. 4:19, Eph. 4:16 &  5:1-2)

DAY 35: Tuesday, 4/12-PRESS FORWARD Ask that God make every believer press forward in faith, seeing where the Kingdom is not yet, & bringing light into darkness until He returns. (Luke 19:13, Phil. 3:13-14, Rom. 15:20)

DAY 36: Wednesday, 4/13- TRANSFORMED Read Parts 4 & 5 in REVIVAL STARTS HERE pp. 45-64 & join us for prayer at 6pm, as we call forth the fulfillment of His promises to make all things new. (Is. 43:19, 2 Cor. 5:17) -Fast breakfast & lunch

DAY 37: Thursday, 4/14- TRIUMPHANT Proclaim His victory over our own lives, nations, and all peoples as we acknowledge His ultimate victory. (Josh. 23:14, Prov. 3:5-6, Mark 11:23, 2 Cor. 2:14)

DAY 38: GOOD FRIDAY, 4/15- WORTHY Proclaim the worthiness of the Lamb who was slain of all worship, honor, power, and blessing; ask that He may receive the full reward for His sufferings. (Rev. 4:8-11, Phil. 3:7)

DAY 39: HOLY SATURDAY, 4/16- FULLNESS OF HIS KINGDOM Ask the Lord Jesus Christ for the fullness of His Kingdom to come and His will to be fully done on earth, in every people group and in every place. (Dan. 2:34-35, Hab. 2:14, Rev. 11:15)

DAY 40: EASTER SUNDAY, 4/17- COME LORD JESUS! Join us for worship at Cypress church at either 9 or 11 as we celebrate the risen King! We continue to pray & yearn for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ! (Rev. 22:17-21, 2 Peter 3:11-14)
