Life Groups

Frequently Asked Questions

What are life groups?

Life groups are a strategic part of life at Cypress. This is where (and how) we obey the centerpiece phrase of our purpose statement – LOVE ONE ANOTHER. The Sunday service, where we practice worshiping Jesus together, is really just the first half of a whole experience that is completed in a life group environment in someone’s home. Sermons impress, but life groups help us to process the teaching we have heard so that it can transform us.

Who are life groups for?

Life Groups are for people who have made Cypress their home church. Groups meet weekly or bi-monthly over the course of a 7 week period. Life Group Members are encouraged to process through the questions before each meeting to be prepared for discussion centered on Jesus! Groups are hosted and facilitated by trusted members of our church body.

When are life groups?

Groups meet at various times, on different days, and locations throughout the week/month. This is to be accommodating to the schedules of members in the group. Some groups meet at Cypress, some on Zoom, and others meet in homes on the Monterey Peninsula.
